Both platforms will get you a working website with a checkout, so the comparison is not really about features on a list. Wix gives you free-form layout control, which owners without design experience often find more intuitive for a first site. Shopify's admin is more structured: fewer layout choices, but product, inventory, and order workflows are laid out clearly.
